Get your Jet Pack on

something new and somewhat bold for the Ageless Artist

I was walking Gracie my hound this morning while swatting deer flies and mosquitos from my head and letting my mind roll . Sometimes my most brilliant thoughts (to me that is!) surface when I walk -even with insects, allergies and heat waves

You are likely reading this because you want more.

A common theme and consideration for many of my subscribers and artist peers is this.

As I encounter artists (particularly those artists that fit into my loose ageless artist criteria (50 years and up) who are saying or feeling:

• stuck in a rut

• feel unable to create /artist block

• exhausted and perplexed by all of the marketing expectations

• numb and shutdown creatively

• isolated.

• a feeling of spinning your wheels

• trying everything yet without success

• Grrrr what’s the point? No one buys my work anyway

• feeling overwhelmed with websites/ social profiles

• de -energized .

Perhaps one or more of these statements or words resonates for you . If so I’m glad you are here!

I do not plan to offer marketing plans or magic formulas - but rather encouragement, tips and hopefully robust discussion about getting past the obstacles and moving forward with your art.

I also know there is such a treasure trove of knowledge and expertise in our midst so let’s capitalize on this too . Some of you may want to make more art. many of you are looking for change in your practise. Others may want to take your art to another place -selling/exhibiting etc. I’m thinking you are also seeking community with other artists who are in a similar place-not necessarily geographically but certainly age wise.

There are lots of newsletters and sites about marketing and art business -but I thought it was important to create this place especially for artists of our vintage .

A special and unique community .

I am still mulling -and welcome your feedback !

There are Several potential paths we can take together..Guided by your wants, wishes and lots of participation! These might include..

-Live zoom sessions where we can discuss topics relevant to us and our growth

-Audio sessions with prompts for further discussion or challenges

-creating your own personal jet pack kit -with some fun projects

-interviews with other (ageless) artists to glean useful knowledge !

-

If there is interest in more-I am exploring a future separate paid subscription for this group (with options for one on one sessions for example) but for now and foreseeable future all content will be 100% free.

Something that will make this group unique and user friendly will be that it is a separate thread from ageless artist - so if interested you will need to subscribe (free) to this group for emails and updates (and to belong :-)

I will continue to offer Ageless Artist as a mostly weekly newsletter and hopefully Jet Pack bi-weekly
